Role: Vice Chairwoman

Year Appointed: 2022

Year Joined BHC: 1999
Jo's Bio:
"I Joined BHC in 1999 after finishing Uni and moving back to the area. My reason was to get exercise and to meet new people.
I have now been with the club over 20 years, only having a gap to have my 2 children.
I am currently Ladies club captain which entails:
-
Welcoming new people to the club
-
Being a contact point for the ladies section
-
Working with the captains and coaches to select the teams each week.
-
Organising development games
-
Being part of the committee to discuss BHC as a whole.
In summary, my role is to make sure the Ladies section is happy.
The reason I want to be involved is:
-
I like the fact BHC welcomes people of any age and ability and makes them feel at home so they can enjoy playing hockey at Banbury.
-
I have predominantly played in the middle teams of the Ladies section and I love to see the juniors join the ladies section and gradually move up through the teams to hopefully end up playing for the 1st team.
-
I am proud each week that a town the size of Banbury manages to produce so many Ladies, Mens and Junior hockey teams. "
