Welfare
Banbury Hockey Club boasts a thriving junior section catering for children from the ages of 6 to 18 years. It has achieved the ‘Clubmark’ award (re-awarded in 2013) to create a safe, effective and child-friendly hockey club. Training sessions are led by fully qualified coaches, with the aim of developing youngsters to their full potential.
Girls and boys teams are entered in the Oxfordshire Junior Leagues, and together with friendly matches against local clubs, there are opportunities for lots of competitive hockey. A number of our juniors have progressed through the club network to play in the senior sides at all levels. We have also been very proud to see some gain county, regional and national honours.
