Training for the 2021/2022 season has now finished but we will be having ad hoc session throughout the summer and don't forget summer league! Weekly events and reminders go out on SPOND and on our Facebook and Instagram pages. For all up to date events, training and matches, please check SPOND! Membership
Banbury Hockey Club welcome any potential new members throughout the season (both playing and non-playing).
Our Membership year runs from September 1st – August 31st on a yearly basis and we welcome players to attend a training session in order to integrate themselves in to our fun loving club before making the decision to join us.
Membership Fees

Membership Details
Social Affiliate Membership entitles members to vote at the AGM, attend social events and ensures they are covered by the club insurance.
Casual Player Affiliate Membership entitles members to train, vote in the club AGM, ensures they are covered by the club insurance and play up to 7 matches (match fees are applicable for each game played). Once 7 games have been played a member must top their membership up to the appropriate full membership e.g. Senior Membership.
All Full Memberships ( Senior Goalkeeper, Junior, University Student and Senior) include affiliation to the club; the right to attend training, vote in the AGM, be covered under the club insurance and be available for selection for all league games throughout the season.
Insurance
Public liability cover is provided for all club members, coaches, umpires and volunteers whilst undertaking activities sanctioned by the club. Cover is available as part of the England Hockey Coaches membership for individuals who coach or umpire outside of the club environment. Indemnity is extended to include:

Club activities, including training for and the playing of hockey, hockey festivals*, tournaments as well as social, fund- raising and administrative activities, subject to appropriate risk assessments

A club member who causes injury, damage or financial loss to a fellow member • A club which borrows, rents or leases a premises for sporting or social purposes and is held liable for damage to the facility.

Additional Sporting activities of Lacrosse or Cricket are included for clubs where this is a secondary activity.
Cover is not provided for personal injury and members should take out their own accident cover.
*Hockey Festivals
Please note members attending and representing their club at hockey festivals are insured however if members are not representing their club at the festival or tournament and are attending in their own personal capacity this is not insured under the club insurance policy.
