Victory for the Ladies 2s!
BHC Ladies 2s - 3, Oxford 4s - 2
We finally won!
After many games being the better side but not managing to get a goal, we got two in the space of a minute! Banbury started strong having the majority of the possession and being in opposition's half most of the game. This allowed us to press and enter the D every time.
Kelly put herself on the line and sacrificed herself for the team, but her sacrifice came with a cost… a flick. Unfortunately, it went in after a great attempt to save it from Muqaddas. 1-0 Oxford.
Our morale and determination were still high, however. and shortly after, Fern ran down the line with supersonic speed across the D past the goalie and into the back left post! 1-1.
With the team full of confidence again, and after a fight in the D, Flora got it past the goalie. 2-1 Banbury!
Unfortunately, Oxford then scored again shortly thereafter. 2-2!
But we pulled an Uno reverse card and Julia scored again straight after, slipping it past the goalie. Final score - 3-2 to Banbury!
There was excellent play throughout, with every team member playing amazingly well!
