Head Coach for M1s and L1s
Richard Hobley
Role: Head Coach for M1s and L1s
Year Appointed: 2018 (has coached at BHC since 2009)
Year Joined BHC: 2009 (as coach), 2014 (as player)
Richard's Bio:
"Ladies and Men's 1st XI Coach.
Club Coach Support.
Junior Coach.
Banbury Hockey Club has been my second home since I moved on from Birmingham University and I'm very grateful to be a part of a such a welcoming club, with members who take great pride in wearing the shirt.
This is my second spell since 2009 coaching the Men's and Women's 1st XI, I've done a stint as Men's Club Captain in 2017-19 and I've been supporting the junior section since 2014 in various capacities. My favourite moment wearing the shirt was beating Canterbury Hockey Club in the National Cup Last 16 a few years back.
As the Men's and Women's coach, I hope to provide all of the players with great memories similar to those that I have enjoyed at the club, as well as supporting them to achieve all they want within the sport. As a junior coach, I hope to give back the energy, support and confidence I was given by so many of my volunteer coaches growing up."
