Lyndsey's Bio:

"I've been at the club since the age of 6 or 7. I grew up playing for Banbury hockey club after waiting for what seemed like a lifetime watching my dad play until I was 13 and old enough to play myself! I attended Bloxham school and then went to Loughborough University where I was part of the Elite performance programme. At Loughborough, I played first team hockey and studied Geography. I graduated from university in the summer of 2020 and returned home where I have continued my hockey in the premier league.

Within this marketing and communications role, I am learning from Katie and assisting her in the development and implementation of the club's marketing activities and communication avenues. I am also leading the running of the club's social media pages.

Alongside my marketing and communication role, I also help to organise fixtures and the junior side of the club. I am hoping to develop the minis up to the U16 teams. I help to coach as well as organise friendly matches, update SPOND, recruit new junior members and support all the volunteers in the junior section so that they can enjoy volunteering and don't have to worry about admin. As Junior Coordinator, I work with the BHC committee to oversee the development of the junior section ensuring that the club is offering hockey to all ages and abilities in the Oxfordshire area, and demonstrating good practice whilst having fun. I also enable the volunteers to enjoy coaching and managing teams without the weight of team administration which is something that I cover. "
