Umpiring Course @NOA 11th December 2016

  • October 24, 2016

Banbury Hockey Club are hosting a Level 1 Umpires course at NOA as detailed below. Without umpires, the matches cannot take place and with the increased number of matches taking place, we need more people coming forward to help umpire. All players are required to have an understanding of the rules and at least one person from each team should be capable to umpire occasionally for situations when the regular umpire is unavailable.

All playing members are encouraged to attend, the cost of the course is £50 but this will be refunded by the club once you umpire 5 matches. Once becoming qualified and officiating games for the club you will be eligible for the club’s umpire benefits package:

Senior Club – Coaching/Umpire jacket, EOSD ticket, no match fee to be paid, if playing the same day as umpiring. 1 free drink on match days. Based on a minimum of 10 matches officiated (as appointed to by the BHC Umpire Co-coordinator) during the season.

Junior Club – Coaching jacket, no match fee to be paid, if playing the same day as umpiring. 1 free drink on match days. Based on a minimum of 10 matches officiated (as appointed to by the BHC Umpire Co-coordinator) during the season.
