Banbury Cricket Club – Ladies players needed

  • April 21, 2016

Banbury Cricket Club ladies have been very successful over the last 3 seasons and want to continue to grow and be successful. However, this season they find themselves in a position where players have gone off to university and will not be as available for some of the fixtures for this season and future seasons, so there are opportunities for anyone who would like to give women’s cricket a try!.

Banbury ladies are looking to recruit all ages young & old, so they can bring players through as they do with the boys teams, and they also need Players over the age of 14 for the Women’s team Mid-week & Sunday games. There will be mid-week 20/20 games which will be used as development games for giving cricket experience in a non-pressured environment. New recruits will not be thrown in at the deep end and will have coaching from fully qualified coaches. You’ll be allowed to develop at your own speed in a fun environment at a great supportive club and would never pressure.

It’s a very social way to get a bit of extra fitness under your belt, learn a new sport or return to playing cricket. be part of a great Club socially as well being a player there’s many non-sports events going on through the year. Also If old enough could normally end up after a game or training with a couple of drinks in the bar in a relaxed family atmosphere!

If anyone is interested do get in touch with Patricia Hill (Banbury Cricket Club) who will be able to give you more details and answer any further questions.
